Who are Youth Mentors?

The children’s grassroots groups mechanism is one of many ways Children’s Voice Today (CVT) use in promoting the participation of children for fighting child rights at the community level. Grassroots groups members are children under 18. Those who graduated into the group (over 18 years old) and need to continue to support the group activities they become youth mentors. We are trying to make sure that every children’s grassroots groups have enough mentors who are committed and confident to support and inspire children to reach their full potential.

A mentor is an older child or adult who can be a role model for your child.

Mentors spend quality time with a child and offer support, encouragement, and fun.

Children who have a mentor tend to do better in school and have higher self-esteem.
