The Children’s Grassroots Group is a community platform where children meet to discuss and share ideas about their rights and responsibilities. It gives them a safe space to learn about their rights, speak up about issues that affect them, and take part in advocacy activities.Children also participate in games, leisure activities, and talent shows, and they share their experiences with one another.
This helps them enjoy the group, build friendships, and strengthen relationships. The main goal of the Children’s Grassroots Group is to help children understand their rights and take an active role in promoting their own wellbeing. The group builds their knowledge, confidence, and leadership skills, and connects them with government institutions and other organizations that support children.
By the end of 2025, CVT had 4,368 members in 86 grassroots groups across 15 districts. Of these members, 91 % are children under 18 and 9% are youth who previously participated in the groups. Girls make up 62% of the members, while boys represent 38 %.
